    I am a recreational gold prospector. Check this site http://www.goldprospectors.org/index.cfm
    This is the official site of the Gold prospectors Association of America, the largest such organization in the world. They have a great message board where prospectors around the country chat and discuss that precious yellow metal.

    May the bottom of your pan always have gold in it !!!
