  1. I was their last week, with my detector and didn’t find much. Its cool just leave the little tree alone thats green. How long were you their? Im posting a video from were I went today as well. Did you find anything I always seem to find stuff their I don’t know what it is but that place dose have a lot of quartz laying around. We should make a day and go their together. Well have a good one and try to keep it quiet. LOL..

  2. @jessgo33 I spent about 3 hours down their but half the time I spent playing around with my daughter (we had a pick-nick). I ran about 3 buckets and found 2 nice little pickers and about 5 flakes. I had you in mind when I was picking a place to dig in (I didn’t want to invade your spot). There is quartz veins all over that area one of which runs across the hill above the creek, there is also some veins that have been mined not to far up from that spot. so that would be my guess……..

  3. @jessgo33 that would be my guess to why there is such an Abundance of quartz their. I think it would be cool to go prospecting together. I’ve spent a lot of time in the mountains and canyons around here I know a lot of good places. p.s. Don’t worry, I wont give up your secret spot

  7. I don’t care. Id like to go around 9 or 10 for a few hrs the parking gets kinda crouded in the afternoon. I would like to go in the morning. Try the spot were i found that peice I used with the detector in the air test at my house on the bucket if you want.

  8. plus I always find gold their. Its a little hike but its good exercise. Im going to bring some frozen water to drink, and a snack. Maybe stay for 4-5 hrs if thats cool. it takes a good 30 to drive down and walk to the spot.

  12. Cool. I worked their years and years ago. LIke 1996 to 1999. I still do odd jobs with leo who was the owner. Do you have a 4×4? I have a 2wd toyota.

  14. @MrLewis530 I drive a 1989 toyota 2wd with a campershell. You probabley seen it around. I dindn’t go panning to day either. I kinda got morning sickness anyway. I feel like crap, so I went out and did some yard work. I was asking about the 4X4 because Id like to go down powelton to butte creek to sluice. You need a permite to slucie for the day down their. Its only 5 dollers. Well maybe one day we can meet up and go down to the lake or something.

  15. @jessgo33 I drive a 86′ toyota with a lumber rack. and I’ve been able to get to alot of places in that truck including down powleton. I’ve sluice down there a lot and I didnt know you needed a permit to sluice down there oops! any ways we should definitely met up soon and hit up some spots around here together.
