  6. A professional (and I stress that word)..using a fume hood, proper protection and good respirator takes the quartz gold sample and immerses it in hydraflouric acid.
    This stuff is VERY DANGEROUS ! (seriously…don’t try this at home campers it can kill you) The acid dissolves the quartz and leaves just the gold. It will also dissolve a glass jar or anything else made of silica. I had a friend do it for me and he was very experienced.

  7. I thought you used concentrated Potassium Hydroxide. Continueally heated at 90 in a lead container. But hydroflouric acid would also work.

  10. This is just down the street from were I live. This is iron stone vinyard. Just out side ov Angels Camp Cal on hwy 4 you can ether take six mile road off of hwy 4 or go up to murphys. Great place to hae lunch. 8)

  12. WOW.. deer look a LOT different in California than in Texas.. Everything is bigger in TX except for the deer apparently. Those look like reindeer or elk or something.

    Great vid. Lived all over southwest. Found a lot of abandon mines in panamint valley Argus mountains CA, have no idea what they were mining for. Big pro gold mine across that valley.
    Now Im back in the smokies. is there anything worth digging for out here?
