Believe it or not most Jefferson five cent (nickel) coins are not worth all that much, and yours is no exception. There might be a mint mark to the right of the building on the reverse: D (Denver), S (San Francisco), or plain (Philadelphia), but none of them would be worth more than 50 cents even in great shape. There is a 1946-D/over Horizontal D which could be worth hundreds of dollars. I hope that helps.
