Go to Google and type in “sims 2 Nintendo DS Walkthrough”
Look in a walkthrough, and there you will find out not only how to beat that level, but all that rest in the game.
My own experience.

Put the sacophoagus in your bedroom (the room on the 1st floor to the right of the front desk). Then talk to the mummy that comes out of it.
And from now on, go to http://www.gamefaqs.com, type in “The Sims 2″ and click “Nintendo DS”. Then find a walkthrough that tells you what to do.

ok u use your metal detector and go into the desert and go to the pond/lake water thing towards the back and go in the water towards the middle and use your metal detector and then when u find it it will say that u found ??? and then u go talk to the mummy and that is it!……email me if u have any more questions:)
