I purchased this scale for $23.97 about a year ago. When i ordered it I did not believe that it was actually a .01g x 100g scale but it is. After calibration one time I have never had to calibrate it again. A similar scale bought in a store in my home town would cost me around $100-$120, which is absolutely ridiculous once you find these scales. If you are contemplating purchasing this scale, please do it. You will not be let down.

I’ve had this scale for a few months and only have 1 complaint – it is very picky on how long you leave it unattended. I guess it saves battery power but if you neglect this thing for 30 seconds it turns off. This is slightly annoying when you need to add a sample dish, zero it, and then add your sample. If it turns off you have to start over.
And if you don’t have 100g in calibration weights, get some along with this.

When it comes to pocket scales there is a wide variety to choose from, that being said this is a welcome surprise.
I can compare this to a Ohaus scale which is a very respected brand and I own one too.
When put side by side the difference in the two scales is so small I don’t think that I would pay the difference in price for the Ohaus.
The biggest difference is in the case(s) The Ohaus wins hands down for a quality package, but in the accuracy and working category it’s almost a toss up.
So for less than 20 bucks you have a very fine scale in a small package that is a lot of bang for the buck, and I recommend this scale without reservations.

This little scale has stayed calibrated for 6 months. I have a 500g and a 1000g calibration weight. I calibrated the scale the first time I used it, and it has stayed dead on every time I reweigh the calibration weights.
I deducted one star though for a frustrating ‘feature’: the ridiculously aggressive auto shut-off engages after being idle for 45 seconds! Just about every time I reach over to put the next item on the scale, I have to turn it back on first. VERY irritating. It should be at LEAST 3 mins, and I think 5mins would be reasonable. Exactly how much ‘juice’ does the scale use sitting idle anyway? Can’t be MUCH!?
