We can think of lots of places to find things, but we also need to be allowed to dig there. Our backyard doesn’t seem to have anything. She doesn’t really want to find anything valuable, she just wants to find something … metal!!!

Try the beach, the desert, or go camping and test it out there. Also, if you go to the beach, you can always have her use a magnet in the sand and all the metal will stick to it. That is always a fun thing for kids to do.
