The staff who failed to inform students after the first killings. The police who supposedly didn’t act quickly enough. The media who gave us and students info. that they WERE NOT SURE OF that morning (like they had someone in custody when he was still on the loose), remember students were watching the news. The school counslers who didn’t take his distrubing english papers seriously enough. People around him who didn’t notice he was acting suspcious. People who may have teased him or bullied him to send him over the edge. The govt. for not having stricter gun laws. The president of the univ. Our schools for not having more security and metal detectors at dorms and classroom buildings. Or someone else? I blame all except the police who I think did the best they could.
The staff could not have possibly known this was going to happen, how many murders happen where the killer comes back and attacks MUCH more. All indications said it looked like a murder suicide, or at least a domestic dispute, not the precursor to a homicidal rampage. If you want to blame someone else in this, blame the media for putting this ridiculous idea into your tiny little head.

Do you also blame the passengers during 9/11 who had no clue they were nothing more than a missile?

I agree…stop trying to put the blame on something or someone else. Bad stuff happens. Instead of trying to “monday morning quarterback” let’s focus on the healing….

Why is it important to assign blame? 33 Ppl lost their lives two days ago. Let’s focus on that.

no one is to blame, but the shooter… they didn’t know who the shooter was… The shooter was also a student (which they didn’t know at the time) He had access to the dorms and everything because he had a student ID (Obviously) and like i said again and again he didn’t have certain people pointed out he just wanted to kill and it doesn’t matter who… you could have had a lockdown or whatever, but he would have found others to kill people commuting in and people at their dorms. Of course its easy to place blame on other people but why must we find something to place blame on besides the shooter… Of course now a few days afteward we can see how everything lead up to the shooting, but I highly highly doubt there was any way to prevent this from happening. Everything is not just as “simple” as saying well they should have known or they should have done this

I’m not blaming. I’m giving an opinion. The environment of large group of culture mixing as they were for education gave my mind an image that i would like to share. I believe it could occur at any given moment because there comes a time when we wake up and see that we did not come from the same mother and father.

Just the shooter. Nobody else.

I’m blaming the fact that the guy just walked into a gun shop with a medical certificate and bought himself a gun… I think its appalling that buying a gun is on the same level as getting a library card. I think its appalling the fact that he could just buy a semi-automatic handgun and $600 worth of ammunition without raising ANY eyebrows.
I think its appalling that America comes third in death due to gun injuries, it prides itself being a first world country and leader on the wworld stage. Yet it is on par with third world countries such as Brazil and South America. That is appalling.
An American is 50 times more likely to be killed by a gun then a Brit or Australian.

I totally agree with you. There’s no excuse to why the campus wasn’t closed down after the first incident. It’s a shooting, not a fight or someone got stabbed. Two ppl were dead, point blank. That’s more of a reason to close the f’ing school down. Why wasn’t it broadcast over the loud speaker. A school that big has got to have a loud speaker warning students. They should’ve had security at every entrance when students were arriving to the campus to redirect them back home until the first incident was thoroughly investigated.
This is a cover-up. 26,000 students could’ve been warned in 2 hours. Someone needs to be fired for this s**t. This is unacceptable.
I really feel sorry for the parents and families of the students and faculty members that were lost due to this tragedy.
Please everyone stop making excuses for the Admin, and the Chief officer and the President of the school. Whether or not, the first incident was a domestic dispute, two students were killed and that was enough grounds to shut the campus down completly. Two hours was enough time to get the word across campus and could’ve of possibly save 32 student lives.
