Did you have metal detectors at your school?

When I was in high school, in Columbine no less, I never had someone search me or scan me for weapons, such practices were unheard of because the kids I went to school with were not killers, oh we got into the occasional fist fight, but no mother had to cry herself to sleep because her baby died at school. What about you? Did metal detectors make you feel safer? What school more like prison? Or were you like me and didn’t have to go through that. Thoughts? Tell Matticus he WANTS to KNOW>

I lost my baby girl, so will you do me a favor?

On March 28th at 38 weeks pregnant I discovered my baby girls heartbeat had stopped. It was just one of those freak accidents with no known cause. On March 29th she was delivered and she was so beautiful. She weighed 7.5lbs and was 19 inches long. I tell you this not to make you feel bad or feel sorry for me, but rather I wish you would take a moment and kiss and hug your little ones. I thank all of you for all of your advice through my pregnancy and I will be talking to you soon. My home and my heart is ready for a baby so we will be trying again very soon. Take care till then and treasure those little ones for me and for my baby.

First time flier questions? Underwire bras, jewelry, etc- help please?!?!?

I’m going to be flying for the first time (well, since I was a baby) and I had a couple questions:

1). I went to the TSA website, and it said you are not supposed to wear underwire bras. I’ve looked it up, and read that some women have had trouble with the metal setting it off, while some wear them while flying all the time. I’m a 34D, so I’m not exactly comfortable NOT wearing an underwire, so is there any bra that WON’T set the metal detectors off? One that gives the support, but isn’t metal?

2). I don’t wear a ton of jewelry, just one necklace, and two rings- one given to me by my mother, and a purity ring. Will I have to take these off while going through the security check?

3). What kind of clothes should I wear for flying? Are jeans, a band tee, my hoodie, and a pair of slip on vans okay?

4). I don’t use a lot of hair products, just my brush, a hair dryer, and root lifter. Are the hair dryer and root lifter okay to bring? What if the root lifter is in a aerosol can?
5). What should I bring in my carry on? And does the carry on have to be a certain size? Can it be a normal size knapsack, messenger bag, or backpack?

I know there are a lot of questions, but I really want to know so I can be prepared!
