gem/sapphire mining?

hi, i was watching a program on the travel channel called ‘cash and treasures’ and they were doing sapphire mining. i wanted to know, has anyone ever done something like this? if so, did you find anything? also, where are some places i could go. on the travel channel website they list a few places, but these places charge per bag. i want to go and be able to pay for a whole day. i dont just want to go through one bag, it seems more fun to be out all day. oh, and i dont care if its just for sapphires, any gem would do(please, no gold. im not looking to gold prospect). thank you

1st time flying, extremely nervous!!?

Can I wear my wedding ring?Will it set off the metal detector? It is a one way trip, should I try to fit all my stuff in a carry-on, or check a bag? I have no clue where to start. I read the stuff on the TSA’S website, but still have so many questions!

Can u please tell me if they are very strict?Do they open everyones bags and check it?also please let me know, when scannin thro the x ray scanner, can they see everything thats inside our bags?even if we hide something in some corner of the bag?can the metal detectors in the airport detect the dollars in our pockets?do the customs officers fine us badly if they happen to catch us?please let me know, as i will be travellin to india soon.

Features i’m looking for-works good on land and in water, can detect no more than 3′ down, can discriminate between junk/jewels/coins/gems/between different metals/ and artifacts, is light and portable, has headphones, has an easy to read digital readout screen, and a carrying bag.It must cost no more than $500.

detect padlocks security?

hi im just wondering carring a padlock that is “metal” carring it in your pocket or in your bag while entering at stores that has door detective alarms could the metal im wearing detect alarm when comming out to the shops ?

If so how about airports ? lets say your carring a padlock thats metal.. and your going thru the airport security doors… would the doors alarm ?

So strong padlocks that you open it with a key of course.. it is made of steel metal so wonder if it could detect alarms when comming out from the shop as most stores has security so people dont steal.

remember we all carry keys from home in your pocket and or in your bag….. the keys are made of steel metal too so if that does not go off the alarm when comming out the shop then perhaps padlocks wont detect aswell correct ?
