Does any one know of a good beginner metal detector?
I want one for christmas. Iv never done this before. I dont want a realy cheap but one that is affordable. What store could i get them at and what would be the price? I would be using it in like woodland and on woodland trails and sand and beaches.

What’s a good metal detector for a beginner?
Mainly for use on solid ground, like in a wooded area and possibly around a creek bank and bed, and I do plan to take it to the beach occasionally. I’d like to spend less than $200 but could go up to $250 if it’s totally awesome. Also, are there any tips or tricks for metal detecting? Like, is it better to look near trees and vegetation? or in a clearing?
Because I want to find treasure! Arrrrrgh!

Any Arkansas/Mississippi beginner relic hunting spots?
I’m new to metal detecting and relic hunting and I was wondering if someone could give me some leads to some good spot to start out. Perferable in Southeast Arkansas or near Yazoo County, MS. I have tried to research Civil War records of battles in Monticello, AR and Lake Village, AR but really don’t know where to start. I have a GPS so you can give me coordinates or just give me name and I’ll look them up myself. Thanks for any help.

what is a good quality but rather inexpensive metal detector for a beginner?
I would be most interested in finding old coins, jewerly and historical relics. i guess im mainly looking for anything other than pop tabs haha so an item specific detector wouldnt be necessarily one that detects most everything would be good. I wouldnt mind if it was around $200 but thats pretty much all im willing to spend. Any links would be helpful as well.
