3 y/o birthday party…help with planing please?

Hello to all that have opened. I am planning my son’s third birthday we are in FL and his party is outdoors in January. I’ve rented a bounce house, plan on serving lunch and having a treasure hunt and other activities. A thought occurred to me this weekend in regards to what time to start the party and nap times. My son tends to not nap on the weekends and is full energy all day saturday and sunday, so I guess that is why I never really put much thought into it. So I was talking to another mom and she was saying to have it 11 am this way when 1 or 2 rolls around they’ll be ready for nap…BUY I think with what I have planned two hours might not give enough party time. I guess what I am looking for is advice on what you have done for your child’s birthday? if your toddler were at a party from say 11am to 2 or 3pm with no nap would you be OK with that, would they? What are your thoughts? Oh, also, as one of the activities I thought of having the kids decorate their own cupcakes — bad idea or good idea? thank you so much for your help. Melanie

Birthday party question

the person is turning 14 years old. we need some fun games to play. we want to do a treasure hunt only we don’t know where to get the ideas to make it unique. last year we did a treasure hunt where you have to pay “money” (it was fake money) to get to the next place. this year a lot of the people coming are the same ones and we don’t want to do the same things. any UNIQUE treasure hunts? also please suggest any other fun games (not interested in board games or things like twister).

how can I arrange a treasure hunt …can someone give some ideas regarding the clues wordings?

the place of treasure hunt is a community hall, with a lawn, a hall, dining hall, car park space, toilet etc…this treasure hunt is part of activities arranged in a birthday party’

Game ideas for my 17th b’day party?

I’m having a 17th birthday party at my house this month (july) and we’re having a BBQ. I would like to do games but what can we do?
I want to do something that is not babyish but cool and fun. Since I live on a large piece of land and have fields, a treasure hunt sounds great. Can you help me with more choices?

Thank you!

What do you think?

I am planning my 7 year-old’s birthday party and I wrote the invitation myself. They are having a pirate themed party. What do you think of this for the wording:

“Ahoy there, Matey!

Stop what you’re doing and lend me yer ear,
I have a message for ye to hear!
The treasure’s been stolen!
It must be found!
So tighten your sashes,
We are Treasure Hunting bound!

What: Our 7th birthday party!!

When: Saturday, July 5th 1-3pm

Where: Our house!!

RSVP: Please RSVP to our scullery maid (aka MOM)

We hope you can join us, it will be a “shiver me timbers” good time!!”

Does it sound good? Any input is greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
