Do the Angels have the best defensive outfield in Baseball?

LF: Vernon Wells, a 3x gold glove winner, is still very solid defensively. Although his offensive game is faltering, his defense is not.

CF: Peter Bourjos. Remember his name because he could win the gold glove for the next 8 years. Bourjos, who is only a rookie, won the defensive player of the year in the minors and was also regarded the fastest player in all of the minors last year. Basically, he was the reason why Vernon Wells switched from CF to LF.

RF: Torri Hunter. Hunter, the 9x gold glover, is still playing in top shape defensively.

To make things more scary, Mike Trout, the #1 overall minor league prospect, is expected to be called up sometime next year. Scouts say that he could become a multiple gold-glove winner in the Majors. So, when Hunter retires, Trout could fit in comfortably at RF.
@ C Los Gonzo Five- Good point, and thanks for giving my favorite player, Ichiro, credit. Gutti and Ichiro are beasts, but Milton Bradley is an average defender at best. The Angels, on the other hand, have 3 quality defenders.

If women ruled the world …?

PMS would be a legitimate defense in court.

Men would get reputations for sleeping around.

Singles bars would have metal detectors to weed out men hiding wedding rings in their pocket.

A man would no longer be considered a “good catch” simply because he is breathing.

Fewer women would be dieting because their ideal weight standard would increase by 30 pounds.

Shopping would be considered an aerobic activity.

“Ms.” Magazine would have an annual swimsuit issue featuring scantily clad male models.

Men would not be allowed to eat gas-producing foods within two hours of bedtime.

Men would be secretaries for female bosses, working twice as hard for none of the credit.

Little girls would read “Snow White and the Seven Hunks”.

Men would bring drinks, chips and dip to women watching soap operas.

Men would HAVE to get Playboy for the articles because there would be no pictures.

The alleged Yamashita gold treasure, is this just a myth or a hidden truth?

Tomoyuki Yamashita, the so called ‘tiger of Malaya’ during WW2, according to history books is the one who transported lots of valuable goods and items from the Southeast Asian countries to the Philippines and some in Japan before the end of WW2. According to the book written by Sterling Seagrave and Peggy Seagrave, that thousand of gold has been transferred from Singapore defense base of the Japanese Army to the Philippines and some back to Japan.

But according to some analyse, “By 1943 the Japanese were no longer in control of the seas… It doesn’t make sense to bring in something that valuable here(Philippines) when you know it’s going to be lost to the Americans anyway. The more rational thing would have been to send it to Taiwan or China.”

To me some of it is a myth, but only half truth. Some of them could be valuable but not necessarily gold for that matter. How can one ship or a battle ship would bring lots of gold during a war to another place only be sunk by Americans.
