What a high tech to stop my kids from bringing food into their rooms?

My step-daughter (MS Piggy) in particuliar, brings home can pop and leaves empty cans and other food items in her room for months , is there a high tech solution like maybe a metal detector to prevent this?
I don’t call the child out of her name, I only think Ms Piggy when I see her.

Metal type ring in babyfood should I sue?

I was feeding my daughter 2 days ago and come to my surprise there was a small rounded metal ring in it with a slit in it almost looking like some sort of eye brow ring. luckily i noticed it and pulled it directly out and contacted gerber right away about this matter, during the conversation i was assured that they have a fine screening process and its virtually impossible for anything to pass through without detecting it when that statement was spoken to me i almost felt like i was being called a liar. I then brought up a health concern like what if the person wearing this ring had some sort of disease? I then was assured that at the degree of heat that all the food reaches its impossible for any bacteria to survive in the food. They lady then told me that they would remove thebaby foodd off the shelves where i purchased it from and would also send me a kit to send thebaby foodd AND the ring back to them so they could test it and after testing i would be sent a letter explaining the matter and what the tests found. anyways this has upset me alot and im not sure if i should just send it back and let the situation go or if i should furhterpursuee the matter and contact an attorney before sending it back for testing? what are your opinions?

Parents get to relax, and just sign over the duties for close to the same price it would have cost them to throw it themselves without the worry, stress or hassle.
