I’m with the Best Buddies program, and my buddy is a young child named James with autism. Tomorrow is our last day in Best Buddies, as I’ll be graduating come june. I need to know any ideas of what to get him.
The staff at the school told me that James LOVES treasure maps, so I thought I would draw one for him, and see if I can get it laminated so that it’s more durable, as James tends to drool (lol).
Would it be appropriate to go buy him a little plain teddy bear, and get some thick material / felt to make into a little mini pirate hat, eyepatch, and jacket? Or would that be too much of a hazard for him?
Any other ideas will help tremendously!
