I have no gold prospecting experience , but would like to spend summers out with my Jeep and tent and do some fishing and a bit of prospecting . Are the mining claims a good route to go ?
I checked your link , but couldn’t find more than a few mining claims west of the Rockies . Also , most of them were more like giant campgrounds .
Which clubs have more rural mining claims available ?

Is going camping alone strange behavior?
I know someone who goes up into the mountains to go gold prospecting. He’s gone for several days and he’s all alone. He may see a few hikers, but he spends his time alone.
Is this behavior strange enough to worry about? Do you think he’s writting his manifesto?
