Should i get a .22 rim fire or a pellet gun?

I am trying to decide what to buy. I was thinking of either getting a .22 rim fire rifle or a .177 cal pellet gun to replace the dying one I have now. This is what I’m thinking about:

–I can’t shoot the .22 around my house.
–I can’t hunt the pesky squirrels with the .22 (in my yard).
–I can’t really get into shooting with a pellet gun.
–I can’t really target shoot at much of a distance with a pellet gun.
–It seems like pellet guns are toys and because of the way they work, they don’t last nearly as long.

I guess this is kind of like when you flip a coin and you already know what side you’re hoping it lands on. I want the .22 but it seems like i wouldn’t be able to shoot it as much if i always had to go to a range.
(money isn’t really a factor in deciding what one to get)

Do you think all schools will institute metal detectors in order to enter the school?

In light of another student bringing a gun (even though it turned out to be a pellet gun) to school, do you think American will have to turn to this? School violence continues to rise and is this a way to curb this violence?

Should this be legal? Could it get through airports? It’s up for auction on a gun site.?

Here it is: Do you think it’s cool or should it be banned. It’s guaranteed, by the way. Try googling it.

“This is a set of one letter opener and one tanto type blade knife. The first is the letter opener that is made of high density grade aircraft ABS plastic. This letter opener is 7 3/4 inches long with a blade length of 3 7/8 inches. This letter opener contains no metallic properties so it can not be detected by a metal detector. So if you work at an office that you have to go through a metal detector and you want to use this to open your mail at your office and home without the hassle of the metal detectors, then this is the letter opener you need. Next is the tanto type blade knife, that is 11 1/4 inches long with a blade length of 5 3/4 inches. The knife is made of undetectable antimagnetic material made from Zytel(r).”

Anyone know the movie where the guy puts his gun in a coffee cup to get through security?

He has to walk through a metal detector and so he puts his gun in his coffee cup and sets it on top of the machine while he walks through it. Thanks! 10pts to first who figures it out for us.

Gun control lobbyists: Notice a trend for all these shootings?

Every one of these shootings have taken place in a “no gun zone”, like a school or mall.

This guy has a gun, and where is the only place he KNOWS he can shoot up without someone retaliating? A no-gun zone. No one (except a criminal) can have a gun in a no-gun zone. So it is like putting up a sign that says to the criminal “no one can shoot back here”!

Because let’s face it. This guy is going to get a gun no matter what, so a gun law wont help there. Drugs are illegal, and no one doubts that criminals have access to them, so why would guns be any different?

Unless we have metal detectors at every mall and every school in the nation, from middle school to college, 24 hours a day, there will be no way to keep people from bringing guns into no-gun zones.

Well, where were the cops, you say? Well, it would take someone less than a minute to shoot , say, 20 people and kill themselves. I would think it would be pretty hard for cops to respond that fast!
