I know a lot of people will think why would the Yankees trade Texiera a gold glover for a fat guy who is out of shape and is not a good defender? I look at it this way, defense only counts for so much in a game. It’s not like a poor defender will cost you most of your games. I would also be willingly to give the Brewers Austin Romine our top catching prospect, Joba Chamberlain, pitching prospect Ivan Nova who can be a #1, Pitching prospect Zach McAllister who has a good sinker ball, and I would give them Vazquez. Yankees don’t need Romine because Cervelli will be the Yankees catcher of the future and Montero will be the DH or 1st base after Fielder eventually retires. So what do you think. As for the Yankees set up man, they will find someone to setup for Rivera and close for the future.
