I am trying to write a script for an interactive, animated, staff training program for young adults, 17 – 25, for my thesis. I want my program to include information needed to be learned & games for the staff to play to reinforce the lessons. For example, the staff will first need to learn about the history of the company, the culture and the layout of the property (i.e. where they need to go in case of an emergency), then after listening to the animated clip they’re asked to partake in a game of some sort like a treasure hunt. In the hunt they will need to know the layout of the property in order to know where to go (i.e., for a fire everyone goes to the parking lot).
I simply have no idea where to start or how to write it! I have read up on script writing but am unsure if that is where I should be looking… Does anyone have any suggestions of what I should do (or read, take a short class in, etc) for a project like this? Any helpful suggestions would be very much appreciated!
My areas of study are Generational, Instructional, Training and Development, and Organizational Communication, but I have never studied media writing which is why I am having such a problem with the script idea for my Master’s thesis/project.
