want to purchase a used or cheap metal detector and start searching to start within a 100mile radius of my area. I live in North central tx. going to search in Oklahoma as well. wondering how to obtain ways to search private property or what is considered private property. also any advice on looking for gold in rivers and streams would be greatly appreciated. anyone with knowledge of the history of Norther Tx and southern Ok. would help too

The people who built them are gone, city dont have records, and no one in the area has an idea. The search area is 1 mile by 3/4 of a mile. I have already thought about a metal detector but want a faster way. This for a community garden well so the 6-7000 dollars need not be spent.

i was walking around chatsworth hills about a mile above the train tracks with my metal detector i thought it was another tin can , it was but it had all these 1857 1859 1860 coins 10dollar 20 dollar gold coins there almost new i couldnt believe my eyes wow
