I’ve been killing myself trying to locate this movie that i loved as a child. Here is all the details i can recall..hopefully someome will recognize it!
-Takes place in Australia
-main character is some sort of con man or else he’s running from people he owes a lot of money to, cause the ‘bad’ guys (or perhaps the ‘good’ guys) are always after him.
-it involves some sort of treasure hunt to, and what is odd iss that the treasure map was on a rag
-he somehow stumbled upon a mom and her daughter.
-i dont think he knew how to read because there was a scene where he couldn’t read the word “Koala bear” when he was at a zoo or something with aformentioned mother and daughter.
That’s all i can remember! For some reason the guy reminded me of Dudly Moore – my young mind remembers him as being on the short side.
Any ideas?
