Alright so this is more of a discussion than a question I just finished reading the trilogy and I have no friends to talk about it with!!
So first of are you guys for gale or peeta?! To be honest I was gale in the first and some of second books then realized I love Peeta just as much and I honestly cannot choose for the life of me. Although in the ending Katniss and Peeta have children I cant help but only be able to think about how Peeta isn’t the same lover boy from the games because he can’t remember everything. I feel like hes not the same which makes me so upset. I wish in the end it gave something to tell the reader Peeta remembered he loved Katniss the way he did before but I didn’t feel it. Gale being in district 2 makes me SO upset! I loved Gale just as much as Peeta and I don’t think Gale would have chose district 2 over being with Katniss in his old home where they could go hunting. I loved Gale 
Also Prim dying was so upsetting although I didn’t cry as I did at the end when the book did not have the ending I had hoped for. I find it so unrealistic how Katniss’s mother chose to build a hospital instead of being with her only child whos alive and for that matter only family member alive. I love how Greasy Sae was there in the end and Haymitch who I was a little upset when Katniss said that he hadn’t come to visit her even though they live so close. Loved Cinna and miss him. Loved FInnick and miss him so much! I loved his easy going flirty ways and then with Annie, that was adorable! Katniss killing Coin in the end had no effect on me, I never liked her. At the end of the story I was wishing so badly that it was back to normal like in the first book. My fantasy ending would be Katniss and Peeta win the hunger games like they did in book one and they went on licing with everyone in district 12. The only down side is that I wouldnt get to meet all these amazing characters. Since I couldn’t have that ending I would like to say, I almost wish in the end that Katniss hadn’t chosen between Gale and Peeta. That they all three lived in district 12 and the book ended without you getting to know who she chose. I would be able to sleep much better. I am glad she ended up with Peeta but again I feel like he wasn’t the same and he wasn’t as sure about his feelings for Katniss as he was at the games. Wish it was the old Peeta!
