Treasure Hunt Riddle?

Every year my city puts on a treasure hunt and the treasure is always in a public park, I’m having trouble with some clues so I’m gonna post the riddle here and hopefully someone can help me

Sit and feel Sir Isaac’s pain
Or shelter here from gentle rain
Close to a mosquito breeder
Hills, trails and some cedar
A place where you could pay your tax
Or sit a spell and just relax
Enjoy the water and gentle breeze
Whistling through the needled trees
A major road by a center
That brings peace to those who enter
Picnic on a grassy knoll
Where parents sit on patrol
Come early for a picnic table
There’s only two, so if you’re able
Put your food on ice to chill
‘Cuz at this park there is no grill

Now obviously sir isaac means there is an apple tree and mosquito breeder is a nasty pond but i’m having trouble with the rest. What taxes relate to a public park? And what is a center where people can find peace? Parents on patrol, is that a playground? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Next riddle can u help me?

k so here is the next riddle i think the answere is a metal detector but im not sure, well here is goes:

-our world is lovelt in different ways,
hung with beauty and works of hands.
i saw a strang machine, made
for motion, slide against the sand,
shrieking as it went. it walked swiftly
on its only foot, this odd-shaped monster,
traveled in an open country without
seeing, without arms, or hands,
with many ribs, and its mouth in its middle.
its work is useful, and welcome, for it loads
its belly with food, and brings abundance
to men, to poor and to rich, paying its tribute year after year. solve
this riddle, it you can, and unravel its name.

does anyone want to go on a treasure hunt? :o?

okay so this might sound a little bit odd or strange but i have always been satisfyed with james bond indiana jones and national treasure type things. so i was thinking about what if things like that were real? what if there really were urban legends and hidden treasures. so my question is……does anyonw know of a clue, map, un-answered riddle, anything that we can go from and that we can explore. i want to have an adventure! i want to go on a hunt! i want to find something this lifetime hasn;t even dreamed of! ive tried looking on the internet for treasures and such but everything i pull up seems to be either fake, stupid or for children’s parties. so is anyone serious about this? if so….lets start exploring!

i thinking of doing it sunday. in the morning when she went out to go to church i was going to write a sweet note about her and tell her and a cute riddle and then she would precede to church and then i would have another note (from another one of our friend about how much they love her and how she is an awesome person then it will also have a treasure hunt type map that leads her to different places where each stop would be another cute love note attach to a ballon and at the end i will have this guy who likes her standing with roses at a random place to throw her off and he will give her the flowers put blind folds on her face and drive her to the destination of the party and then everyone will surprise her!!

I need help on school treasure hunt question!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

At my school in the eigth grade, in my Social Studies class, we are have a treasure hunt that goes throughout the whole year. We just recently recieved out first clue to the treasure hunt. the clue is a big blue C, with a red T in the middle of the C, and on the top right hand corner of the blue C, is a blue 2. Please help me answer the question!!!!!! My teacher made up this clue so it might be hard to figure out. Keep in mind that this could be a riddle. this also has something to do with U.S. History. Thanks!!!
dont worry, i’m not cheating. i’m aloud to do this. I need the date of when it hapened and a small explanation of it. Thanks!
