Why is Troy Glaus a free agent still?

he had a decent, productive season in 2010. played 128 games, was on pace for 20 HR, 90 RBI, .240 BA, and 66 R. a team like the marlins, with a sub-par committee (consisting of Emilio Bonifacio (has never hit a home run that wasn’t inside the park, is also needed as utility), Wes Helms (veteran who can’t do anything but hit an occasional single), Greg Dobbs (about as useful as Helms), Donnie Murphy (extremely clutch pinch hitter who seems to go 0-4 with 4 strikeouts every time he gets a start), and Matt Dominguez (touted prospect, first round draft pick who still clearly is not ready for the majors, despite gold-glove caliber defense. broken elbow, regardless.).) at third base, could definitely use Glaus. I’m sure they aren’t the only team. But why haven’t I even heard of a team considering signing him to any deal, minor or major league?
No shit, Shawn, im wondering why no teams have at least discussed signing him.
Angelo, how much is he asking? i havent heard

Who will be the next Barclays Champions this coming season???

.. I mean, Arsenal have lost their most treasured player Henry… Chelsea are still gnashing their teeth at their loss of being champions for the third consecutive time and Manchester… Well, they deserved it; they played really well and Congrats to them… Liverpool ain’t happy with the way they are doing their thing… Am sure Rafa wants to make great History…( which am sure he will…) So tell me who you think the next Champions are coz I’m betting Liverpool are getting the Premier League Cup!!

To all Atlanta Braves Fans (and Texas Rangers’)?

How do you feel about the Mark Teixera trade. Yall got him for half a season and gave the Rangers Top Pitching Prospect Neftali Feliz, 3rd on the Allstar Ballot for Shortstop and defence wizard Elvus Andrus, and the Rangers primary catcher who has shown his defence is incredible Jarrod Saltalamachia. Seems like a A1 for the Rangers. Seeing as how we don’t need a first baseman because Chris Davis is a Gold Glove caliber First Baseman who as soon as he gets out of his strikeout slump could be a .260+ AVG with 30+ HRs. and AAA 1B Justin Smoak is hitting .324. How do you address this trade

Why would you ask a gold-glove wining short stop?

who has gone to the all-star game 3-4 years in a row, while also being the leader for your team to move to 3rd so a prospect can come up and make 45-50 errors in his rookie season?

I think it has much to do with two factors…

One, Tom Hicks wants to keep payroll down and Young’s big contract is kicking in.

Two, the front-office has done a poor job this off-season of brining in new talent and this is way to bring about more excitement for the season without investing any money.

My question is, what do you think about the prospect of the Rangers trading Michael Young? Good or Bad?
