Why is Troy Glaus a free agent still?

he had a decent, productive season in 2010. played 128 games, was on pace for 20 HR, 90 RBI, .240 BA, and 66 R. a team like the marlins, with a sub-par committee (consisting of Emilio Bonifacio (has never hit a home run that wasn’t inside the park, is also needed as utility), Wes Helms (veteran who can’t do anything but hit an occasional single), Greg Dobbs (about as useful as Helms), Donnie Murphy (extremely clutch pinch hitter who seems to go 0-4 with 4 strikeouts every time he gets a start), and Matt Dominguez (touted prospect, first round draft pick who still clearly is not ready for the majors, despite gold-glove caliber defense. broken elbow, regardless.).) at third base, could definitely use Glaus. I’m sure they aren’t the only team. But why haven’t I even heard of a team considering signing him to any deal, minor or major league?
No shit, Shawn, im wondering why no teams have at least discussed signing him.
Angelo, how much is he asking? i havent heard

Leaf Curse Continues?

It looks like the Leafs will be doomed for the next decade now that their top draft picks are gone but that is not the only problem. The team has failed to live up to expectations. On paper the Leafs look like they have somewhat of a decent team and it looks to me they should be making the playoffs. I notice that when players leave Toronto their game tends to excel and when players are welcomed to Toronto their game goes way downhill.

The Goaltending situation:

Andrew Raycroft: Awarded the Calder Trophy in 2004, he had a great season with the Bruins. GAA 2.05 and a SV % of .926. Ever since coming to Toronto his stats have dropped big time with a SV % of .894, and 876 throughout 2 seasons with the Leafs. Im sure fans were expecting more out of this guy.

Vesa Toskala: He played great with the Sharks. Wilson even alternated starts between Toskala and Nabokov. Toskala finished the year with a .908 SV%.Toskala ended up having the worst SV% in the league when he played with Toronto. His first 2 years in T.O were mediocre but his third year was not good at all.

Justin Pogge: I still cant believe how many goalies were going through, this is getting ridiculous. I thought for sure Pogge was going to be something special for the Leafs being a highly touted prospect and awarded the Four Broncos Memorial Trophy. He also won Canada a gold medal in the WJC, awarded the Del Wilson Trophy and awarded CHL Goaltender of the Year in 2006. Pogge did not play for another team before but man this guy just got owned by the pressure their was in T.O.

BRIAN BURKES ACQUISITION’S: New players brought into Toronto and their game goes downhill.

Mike Komisarek: He was a pretty good player in Montreal, at least he does not turn the puck over all the time like he does right now in a Leaf uniform.

Francois Beauchemin: He won a cup with Anaheim…. he was a steady defenceman and thats why Burke wanted him. Beauchemin has struggled mightly with the Leafs similar to Komisarek turning pucks over in his own zone. Im sure Burke is putting him on the trading block now and i dont know what they can get for him but he definitely failed to live up to expectations in T.O.

Dion Phaneuf: i cant f***ckn believe this. Phaneuf was able to score goals, go for big hits, and make good plays in Calgary. Phaneuf looks nothing like a superstar in a Leaf uniform. He turns pucks over, i dont see him hit much anymore, and he in a big scoring drought. I hope his game will improve now that he is Captain.

Other Players whos game went downhill when brought to T.O

Jason Blake: Are you F**ckn kidding me? I cant even name all the awards he got but he had a 40 goal season with the islanders and was an All Star. Ever since Blake was brought to T.O i saw him do the same sh**t on the ice everytime. He just goes for laps around the ice.

yeah so i dont know what is wrong with the Leafs… do they just have bad luck?, bad coaching? it would be interesting to see Crosby in a Leaf Jersey having 10 goal seasons but having 50 goal seasons with Pittsburgh lol let me know your opinions on this.
Alex Steen and Kyle Wellwood are both having better seasons on their new teams. I know people are gonna say Wellwood had attitude problems in Toronto. Versteeg and Kessels game have been up to par since coming to Toronto so thats good news.

Do you think there is a hidden gem within all the prospects for the NBA? If so, who?

Everybody knows John Wall and Evan Turner will be chosen very high up in the draft, but is there a chance that a team like the Lakers or Magic at the end of the draft uncover a gold mine?

The Spurs have already done it twice, they picked Parker deep in the first round, and incredibly, managed to get Manu deep in the second round.

I need the name of a movie I saw when I was younger, abt some ppl hunting treasure and some of them die.?

I have found other people looking for the same movie. It has a team of people hunting for some sort of treasure by using a bunch of ropes and pulleys to avoid the traps in the room. The main character is killed by some sort of metallic snake I believe. I have been trying to find out the name of this movie for a long time. Please only serious replies. Thanks for any help.

The main character is killed by some sort of metallic snake I believe. It was in the 80′s and the setting seemed a bit more like an Incan ruin or something. I have been trying to find out the name of this movie for a long time. I just haven’t seen it in a very long time so details are short. Please only serious replies. Thanks for any help.

(it’s not 13 ghost or national treasure, it is an older movie)

Why do Americans think they are the best when they win something for the second time?

Yes the US won the World Juniors against the Canucks and stopped our bid for 6. Was that a good Canadian team, yes, one of the best, far from. With players such as Stamkos, Tavares and Tyler Myers just to name a few missing from the team, it wasn’t Canada’s best potential team. Reading posts about the US ‘dominating’ hockey and giving them the big boost for the Olympics is just annoying. Sure the Americans are starting to turn good prospects, it just gets old hearing Canada always producing top prospects. I have nothing against US hockey, Finish hockey, Swedish hockey etc, Lets just take a breath and Congrats on your second gold, thank our great goal tending for both as well.
Jealousy shouldn’t be mixed up with disappointment
NIPS you can’t compare success in juniors as the same success category in the NHL. Top Canadian scorers in the tourny..Nigel Dawes and Anthony Stewart.. Sure on paper now Canada was the better team, but just because we have more big name NHLers on that team then yours, bad example. And the Fluery Blonder was amazing eh
