Do burned CD’s get ruined under the metal-detector thing we put our carry-on thru before boarding a plane?

I’m concerned because my photos once got ruined by the x-ray. Not sure if they were on my digital camera or on the regular. I just don’t want to risk that these CDs I am bringing in my carry-on won’t be damaged by the machines I have to slide them under.
