New Proline five inch gold dredge with underwater video

New Proline five inch gold dredge with underwater video

Pretty excited about my new Proline 5″ gold dredge. HP 500 pump, 9hp GX-270 Honda Motor. It showed up on Thursday, in the river Saturday morning. The air temp was trying to break 40 degrees when we got to the river, turned out to be a nice day. I’m not sure what the water temp was; but I can say its about time for a full face mask. Dredging in an area that is full of hard pack material; no easy way about it, its a bit like decomposed concrete; every rock needs a pry bar. I think there might be a bit ‘o gold just below it though… I’m asked all the time; “why do you do it if gold dredging is so much work?” I always have the same response, “Think of it like fishing, or riding dirt bikes, or ______ (fill in the blank) ITS A BLAST! Can’t say enough about this new Proline five inch gold dredge; perfect one man machine. Now that I’ve fed the nozzle, I don’t know why anyone would buy a four? A bit more portability I suppose, but what you get in return far out weighs the downside; that being the weight. Easy to carry though, the frame and pontoon assembly weights just over a hundred pounds, motor, pump, compressor and plate, just over 80; about the same as the sluice and jet flare assy. You could almost throw this off the bridge and straight into the river, its that tough (I really don’t recommend it) but if you would like to make a video of you throwing your new gold dredge off a bridge, I would watch that! Able to get some decent underwater footage, the water was clear and

Another little pictorial of the gold dredging that we did in 2006 with our little 8″ Keene mini gold dredge.

Gold Mining and Prospecting with Highbanker/Dredge Pt. 2

Visit my official blog! — youngflyer12.blogspot.com These videos were shot in Northern Indiana (South Bend / Mishawaka area) in a run off creek. In these videos, we use a Proline Highbank Dredge combination. We have not used it for any highbanking, but mostly just for dredging. In these videos we show you the setup we have been using for the past couple years. This particular dredge does an excellent job catching the black sand and gold. Our particular model is only a 2 opening, but it sure does move a lot of material. We also go underwater with the video camera to give you a whole new look at what really happens under the water. This particular day has been divided up into four parts. Catch all the other parts and many more interesting videos on my channel. Enjoy!
