Pretty excited about my new Proline 5″ gold dredge. HP 500 pump, 9hp GX-270 Honda Motor. It showed up on Thursday, in the river Saturday morning. The air temp was trying to break 40 degrees when we got to the river, turned out to be a nice day. I’m not sure what the water temp was; but I can say its about time for a full face mask. Easy to carry though, the frame and pontoon assembly weights just over a hundred pounds, motor, pump, compressor and plate, just over 80; about the same as the sluice and jet flare assy. You could almost throw this off the bridge and straight into the river, its that tough (I really don’t recommend it) but if you would like to make a video of you throwing your new gold dredge off a bridge, I would watch that! Able to get some decent underwater footage, the water was clear and …
Another little pictorial of the gold dredging that we did in 2006 with our little 8″ Keene mini gold dredge.
