okay, im doing a project on school shootings, and if you guys can help and let me know what people have done since then to improve our schools id appreciate it. I know, they’ve put cameras and metal detectors in some schools, but what about schools who have no metal detectors, are they safe?

In the wake of the Virginia Tech atrosity, what else has to happen in order to make Americans seriously look at our gun control laws. I understand hunters need to hunt and they can all keep there rifles and shotguns. Sorry but the uzi’s and automatic weapons need to go away.
Also we need a little more then a green card, checkbook, and a water bill to buy a gun.
And lets get rid of all the metal detectors infront of congress and the whitehouse. Let the people who make these ridiculous laws go to work like the rest of us do.
I understand the right to bear arms, howerver if you read a little further, it means americans have the right to form a militia. So that we could go fight the army if need be. Well if civilian had to go up against the army today, it would be as ridiculous as hunting a deer with a uzi.
Can we please try to learn and grow from this horrific event?
