Can a metal detector detect my husbands lost wedding band?

Yesterday my husband was paintballing with some friends in a really brushy area and he noticed that his ring was no longer on his finger. We think it was caught and pulled off. It was a 10k white gold ring from Kays Jewelers If I rent a metal detector will it be large enough and the right type of metal for us to find it. Or any other tips on trying to find it. Its a large area. My husband is deploying next month and its really important to me that I find it instead of buying a new one….Thankyou wish me luck!

Adventure themed wedding ideas?

I want my wedding to have an “adventure” theme.
Myself and my fiance both love nature and the outdoors and I think it would be very fitting and fun for us.

Ideas so far:
wedding flowers – wildflowers
Invitations would include a “treasure map” of the locations
Stars projected or hanging from the ceiling at the reception
Wedding photo album would be “our adventure book”, similar to the one in the movie “UP”

and then I’m stuck. Does anyone have some suggestions on how I can incorporate an adventure theme into my wedding?

Will a metal detector detect sterling silver?

My husband was playing with our dog in the backyard last night and his wedding band flew off his finger. We have searched and searched with no luck finding it. It is made of Tungsten, with a sterling silver band down the middle. Will a metal detector help us find it?

my dearest cousin is having a rather huge fight with the rest of the family concerning where her wedding should be…she loves the “destination wedding” that people talked,read and dreams about…bali or maybe hawaii or somewhere in either south or north poles with the penguins = )lol…i am the closest to her.we are the best of friends. demands that i talk to her and make her change her mind and have her “destination wedding” at home instead

will lines like these help you think???

“moving requires 5 greyhounds or a whole boeing747…”
“grandma has a pacemaker…she can’t go through the metal detector…”
“it is hot and humid in bali…everybody will look like cooked lobster on film…”
guess not…how do i do this?
i know whatever that i say will break her heart…

Wedding Shower Games?

I need some cool wedding shower games. Something that doesn’t really cost much to do and that is really fun and different. Ive already seen the crosswords, purse treasure hunt, toilet paper wedding dress and things of the sort. Does anyone know of anything different to do?
