In a couple hours of farming on my grinding alt i had mined 3 stacks of titanium and tones of saronite 47 stacks to be exact!This is a test to see if its better to sell the ore or prospect. In the end i had loads of greens and i had 10 sapphire 5 scarlet ruby 13 opal 8 autumn glow 9 forest emerald and 11 monarch topaz. Nowif i sold each stack on ah they are worth 20g so 20g X 47 = 940g from selling the ore with the gems cut selling the rubys alone as runed made me 490g the autumn glow as smooth where 440g So now we are at 930g out of the possible 940g for if i sold the ores now onto the topaz x 11 they are cut into luminos topaz selling at 90g a pop thats 11×90 = 990g 
now we are left with the sapp, emeralds and opals they dont sell well so i will save them for a rainy day. so in total just selling ore would have made me 940g but selling a portion of the gems has made me 1920g for a small grinding sesion! as always its pure luck on the gems u get (i had 9 rubys in 12 stacks the other day) So good luck and happy prospecting!
