he goes to an oaisis camp where he falls in love with a village girl, after that he meets the alchemist who reveals to santiago that he can be one with earth, from there he goes to the pyramid, not to it but a bit away from it, gets robbed by some people after he begins to dig a hole..i know he had gold on him that the alchemist had given there…he is left there and then he realizes that the treasure was always back in the same tree that he use to sit by in the beginning of the book…very ironic that he had the whole trip and his treasure was in the same place that he lived, back home in Europe.
